Local News & Local Business Highlights

New Sweet Spot Coming to Roseville

Rooftop Macarons is planning to expand to Nugget Plaza in Roseville, according to city records. The Sacramento County–based macaron bakery and café will open at 731 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Suite 185, taking over a 1,700-square-foot space previously occupied by Peet’s Coffee, which closed earlier this year.

Known for its colorful macarons, specialty cakes, and iced coffee and matcha drinks, Rooftop Macarons will join other eateries at Nugget Plaza, anchored by Nugget Market.

An opening timeline has not yet been announced.

Remedy Room Pilates Coming to Loomis

Remedy Room Pilates is set to open in Loomis on March 2, 2026, bringing a new wellness-focused Pilates studio to the area. Located at 5960 Jetton Lane, Suite B, the studio will offer Pilates classes centered on both physical and mental well-being.

For the first 3–6 months, Remedy Room Pilates will be open to the public, allowing the community to experience the studio before it transitions to a membership-only model. After that period, classes will be available by appointment and application only, with drop-in and class passes discontinued. Memberships are currently available, and the studio is also hiring instructors.

Atlantic & Vernon Street S-Curve Construction

Work is underway on the Atlantic and Vernon Street S-curve (between Lincoln and Yosemite) in Roseville to improve traffic flow and safety. The project includes lane shifts, new lighted pedestrian crossings, green bike lanes, landscaped medians, and some turning restrictions. Drivers should expect construction activity during weekday work hours.

This upgrade is designed to reduce congestion, improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, and make a busy downtown corridor easier to navigate—especially during peak commute times and community events.
